Last year i was privileged enough to participate as an Eco-Mentor during the Children In The Wilderness (CITW) Annual Camp in December. For those who are not familiar with this program, “Children in the Wilderness is a non-profit organisation supported by ecotourism company Wilderness Safaris to facilitate sustainable conservation through leadership development and education of rural children in Africa.”
I must admit it was a bit overwhelming at first as it was my first time being an Eco-mentor. Once i got to mingle and engage with the children everything became clear and i had realised my purpose and obligation to the children. I wrote a report soon after the event, expressing how the whole experience unfolded, the interactions and on goings of the event. I was honored to find that the CITW team had published my report.
